An open roof turns a roof claim into a whole-house claim
Isaias brought gusts over 100 mph to Pensacola, Navarre and Fort Walton Beach. Even a few missing shingles let rain soak the decking, insulation and drywall — and every new storm makes it worse.

Roof tarp FAQ
Is the tarp really $0?
Yes — nothing comes out of your pocket. The inspection is free, and emergency tarping is paid from your homeowners insurance claim. Your deductible is subtracted from the insurance payout, so you never write a check.
Do I have to use the same company for my new roof?
No. The tarp and inspection don’t obligate you to anything else. Florida law also gives you the right to cancel a roofing contract signed after a declared emergency within a limited window.
Should I get on the roof myself?
Please don’t. Storm-damaged roofs are slippery and unstable. Take photos from the ground and let a licensed crew handle it.
Is this a government program?
No — Calmwater Home is a private matching service, not affiliated with FEMA or any agency. FEMA’s Operation Blue Roof is a separate program run by the Army Corps of Engineers when activated.
